How do I update the firmware on my TDS2000 series oscilloscope?

In many cases, updating the firmware can fix functional problems with the scope. This method is valid for the TDS1000 and TDS2000 series oscilloscopes.

Go to Utilities>-more->File Utilities>-more->Update Firmware. This brings you to a screen with instructions on how to update the firmware. Take note of the current firmware installed on the scope and go find the most recent firmware for the scope on our website using the search bar. For example, if you're looking for the firmware update for a TDS2024C, type TDS2000C firmware into the search bar and click GO. Follow the link for the most recent firmware, click download, unzip the downloaded file, and place the file with the .TEK extension in the top level of a USB flash drive. Plug this drive into the front of the scope and press Update Firmware. The scope will reboot and go into the update cycle. Leave it alone until it's finished and then you can use the scope normally with the new firmware installed.
