How do I add my own custom channel selections and frequencies to the YBT250 and YBA250 on the NetTek?

Question :

How do I add my own custom channel selections and frequencies to the YBT250 and YBA250 on the NetTek?

Réponses :

The basic idea is to get the Signalstandards.txt file from the NetTek (in the folder BuiltInDisk\NetTekApps\YBT250k), then put it in an Excel spreadsheet on your PC to do the editing. At the bottom of the file add your new line to the list (start by copying another line that is close to what you want for signal frequencies, signal type, etc.). Now name that line with something unique that you can recognize later, to pull from the list of available choices to the list of channel standards to use.

Next, make sure you change the number in the column that is called "Unique Standard ID"
to some currently unused number, or it will act as if it is attached to the original channel table line you chose to begin with. The description of each column is in the manual in section 2, and also in appendix G. The user manual is available on the Tektronix web site.

Once you have the table customized, change the name of the file to UserStandards.txt and put it in the NetTek in the \BuiltInDisk folder. Not where you got the original file!
The instrument looks in this directory for this file and if it finds it, it uses it instead of the original SignalStandards.txt file. If your custom file is ever removed, the instrument will revert to using the built-in SignalStandards file.
